    • Job Title: Simulation Learning Designer (Contract to hire)
      Contract: 6 months
      Work Location: New York, NY (Will consider Durham, NC)

      Job Description:
      The Simulation Learning Designer (SLD) serves as part curriculum designer, part business analyst, part content developer, and part production coordinator. The SLD brings together simulation design technology and subject-matter expert content to create a Virtual Patient Simulation (VPS) program. The SLD uses proprietary software and authoring tools to create VPSs, ensuring that simulations align with program learning objectives. As an SLD, you will have your hands in every part of the simulation design process, assisting the team of SLD’s throughout, along with coordinating video production and studio time with the multimedia team.

      The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with the Simulation Learning Team, and multimedia team and should be able to show examples of

      • Ability to empathize with the intended learners (physicians, nurses, NP’s, PA’s, Pharmacists, etc.)

      Major Responsibilities
      • Develop Virtual Patient Simulations based on determined knowledge gaps and learning objectives
      • Demonstrate consulting skills when interacting with partners and subject matter experts, and other stakeholders
      • Determine appropriate VPS solutions based on the learning needs of the audience and grant
      • Coordinate video production across all simulations with the multimedia team
      • With little direction and minimal assistance from SMEs and Scientific Director, develop Virtual Patient Simulations
      • Liaise with the Project Manager to meet all deadlines and provide updates on progress
      • Manage concurrent projects, internal and external, and associated timelines and deliverables
      • Identify and develop new procedures and techniques to improve training and/ or operations effectiveness in performing tasks related to the workflow of creating a program
      • Represent with internal team members and / or external stakeholders

      Required Skills:
      • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
      • Function independently with general oversight and direction within parameters provided
      • Responsible for assignments that may have ambiguous requirements and be complex in nature, requiring independent judgment in resolving multifaceted issues or in making recommendations
      • Successfully demonstrate increasingly complex work
      • Willingness to be accountable for own work and successes and failures
      • Demonstrate leadership qualities, conflict resolution, and presentation skills
      • Able to research and analyze issues and communicate findings
      • Communication skills in visual, oral, and written forms and the ability to explain design and development decisions and recommendations to SMEs, team members and other stakeholders
      • Able to communicate and educate members of other functions in their area of expertise
      • Keep informed of the latest trends in instructional design, Medical Education, and CME
      • Preferred recent employment or experience in instructional design, adult learning theory, and multimedia communications

      Desired (not required) Skills:
      • Master’s degree in education/ instructional design and 5-8 years of related experience
      • Knowledge of CME and models of physician behavior change
      • Knowledge of simulations, serious games
      • Film / video production background
      • Background of working in or creating teaching materials for Medical, or other high-risk industries
      • Knowledge of The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) guidelines

      Education/Certifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in education/instructional design or equivalent experience and 2 years of related experience

      Product Manager in Durham, NC
      5 month contract to hire

      Responsibilities:
      Oversee product roadmap prioritization and execution
      Collaborate with product team, engineering and end-users to define and document product requirements and feature prioritization
      Develop user research plans in collaboration with the UX team to uncover product priorities and product trends
      Collaborate with Marketing team to define marketing communications and strategy
      Collaborate with sales and strategy teams to identify new market opportunities and define product vision
      Define and analyze metrics that ensure the success of products
      Triage product requests and bug reports and prioritize development accordingly for the engineering team
      Monitor status of ongoing work and articulate progress, dependencies, and risks to product team, engineering and other stakeholders
      Help support all phases of product development, including sprint planning, retrospectives, etc. and managing tickets in Jira, as needed
      Act as an ambassador for the product

      Required Skills
      3+ years of experience in online and software product management and development
      Demonstrated experience managing execution of product roadmaps, gathering and documenting product requirements for development teams inclusive of business rationale, user needs, and creating functional specifications
      Experience working with vendors and customers, and across cross-functional teams is required
      Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both in person and written
      Positive and strong team player with a good work ethic
      Comfortable working in an environment where priorities may shift due to industry, product, or user needs
      Thrives on brainstorming and building innovative solutions that consistently challenges the status quo
      Comfortable with technical concepts and equipped to brainstorm with Engineers
      Ability to work autonomously, while also being able to work within a team
      An understanding of core web technologies, and how they come together to form a consumer product

      Desired Skills
      Experience working within an agile framework and using tools such as Jira
      Experience participating in sprint planning, retrospectives, daily standups, etc
      Up to date with latest trends in product management tools and frameworks
      Previous experience doing customer research and participating in usability studies a plus

      Education/Certifications
      BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Digital or Graphic Design, Media Studies or related field preferred or a similar amount of product experience
