Job Summary

Our teams in Harlow and Saffron Walden are looking to recruit for Scientists/Senior Scientists on a permanent basis. These opportunities will place you as part of a cross-functional team working at the forefront of drug discovery, interacting with other groups within the organisation including computational chemistry, chemistry, compound management and in vitro and in vivo DMPK. These are fantastic opportunities that would allow you to work in a challenging and dynamic environment that provides the ideal opportunity to showcase your expertise in contributing to the discovery of potential new medicines. You will also be given the chance to develop your own skills via interaction with scientists from diverse cultural and scientific backgrounds.  
 
You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic about working in the lab and will have experience with plate-based screening and assay development, ideally gained within industry or an academic screening environment. 
 
The main responsibility in the roles will be to work on a range of biochemical and cellular assay formats, solving challenging problems, analysing and reporting data to advance client drug discovery projects. You'll be working in a cross-functional working environment and will be collaborating with teams in Chemistry and DMPK in order to drive projects forward.

Desired Skills & Experience

Our ideal candidate will have a degree or PhD level qualification and a passion for applying scientific expertise to drug discovery collaborations. Candidates will have at least 1 year of relevant experience. For consideration at Senior Scientist level, we’re looking for 3 years' relevant experience. You will be adept at problem solving and in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will need to possess the flexibility required to work in a goal-oriented environment.
