Our Medical Team is looking for a Medical Affairs Manager Oncology, more specifically Lung Cancer. By providing key medical input to marketing, sales, market access, delivering strategic and educational medical affairs projects, engaging with Key External Experts (KEEs) and coaching of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), you will be a core member of the team.

Responsibilities:

Maintain the highest standard, robust scientific and medical expertise:

  • Keep track of relevant scientific peer-reviewed literature in the therapeutic area (TA)
  • Attend (inter)national scientific conferences
  • Engage with KEEs in the TA
  • Assimilate customer insights acquired by MSLs
  • Ensure excellent up-to-date scientific knowledge in product and therapeutic area of colleagues through knowledge updates, product and disease area training sessions

 

Deliver key medical input into the brand strategy:

  • Work in a partnership with the Marketing and Market Access Department
  • High quality scientific and medical input in cross-functional meetings
  • Participate in the development and evaluation of the local operational brand strategy by ensuring input of KEEs, customer insights and competitive intelligence
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving promotional material

 

Deliver strategic and educational medical projects:

  • Develop and complete medical affairs projects of the brand plan according to budget and timelines
  • Accurate planning of projects with close follow-up in line with defined goals and critical metrics

 

Build partnerships with Key External Experts:

  • Build and maintain visibility and excellent long-term professional relationships with KEEs
  • Advocacy mapping and management
  • Lead national advisory boards with KEEs
  • Lead Real World Evidence (RWE) projects



Desired Skills & Experience
  • Medical, Biomedical sciences or Pharmacy Degree or other relevant Master of Science degree
  • Experience with searching, handling, assimilating, synthesizing, reporting and communicating scientific data in the health care sector
  • Analytical skills and the ability to seek and critically assess a large amount of data, distil and synthesize information, put it into context and evaluate its impact on the business
  • Working knowledge and understanding of relevant Legislation and Codes of Practice relating to promotional activities
  • Knowledge of therapeutic area or the ability to acquire this knowledge rapidly
  • Excellent computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills
  • Team player
  • Fluent English and strong French and / or Dutch is preferable
